Mr. Mortgage Corp was founded because too many qualified borrowers were being turned away, not because they lacked the income, down payment, or ability to repay, but because their financial story did not fit inside a traditional lender’s box.

After more than ten years in mortgage lending, Mike Esquivel recognized the same pattern repeatedly: business owners whose tax write-offs reduced their qualifying income, self-employed borrowers with nontraditional documentation, foreign nationals purchasing in the United States, and investors whose income did not arrive through a standard paycheck.

These borrowers were not unqualified. They simply needed a lender who understood how to evaluate the complete financial picture.

That became the foundation of Mr. Mortgage Corp. The company specializes in finding solutions for complex Non-QM loans while also offering traditional FHA, conventional, USDA, and jumbo financing.

Today, four members of the Esquivel family work alongside a dedicated team of seven mortgage professionals, all operating from one office in Chula Vista and united by one purpose: helping more families, entrepreneurs, and investors turn a complicated financial story into a clear path toward homeownership.
